About Me

Born and raised middle class in the suburbs of NYC, I was pretty comfortable but was expected to get a job as soon as I finished my sophomore year in high school. I didn't get just one, I got two. Thus began my love of both a sense of purpose and a paycheck.  

40 years later, about two years away from retiring, I am still full of energy and the desire for money and fulfillment are still as strong as they were then. 

I have decided to document my quest for a million dollars in 800 days. Please note I am not mentioning actually saving $1,000,000. Oh, I'm sure I'll spend quite a bit of it. My future pension and investments allow me some flexibility where that is concerned.  I'm really just looking for a challenge and this sounds fun.

I hope to build a fantastic community here.  I'll take suggestions that might aid in my journey. Tell me funny and insightful stories about your attempts to make some extra cash. I will share both my successes and my inevitable failures. Please do the same.
